Author’s Notes: Noel Remembers When Julian Helped Him With His Addiction To Drugs… And Found Something Better Than Drugs. He Found Love In Julian.

Noel laid on his black and red silk bed with his lover, Julian who was sound asleep.

Noel had his hand right over Julian’s heart; it felt like a small drum beating against his hand, the night seeming endless as the only light sources was from the moon.

Noel looked at Julian’s hard face, but he only knew about the softness it held underneath. He never said this much to Julian, but he was grateful he was in his life.

Julian stopped the ache in his heart, stopped the shakes of fear in his life, and he cleared his mind. He felt right with Julian, and safe as if he could just be himself; not someone everyone wanted him to be.

Julian was Noel’s escape from the world who labeled their love as wrong and un-moral. Julian helped him forget about the world, and numbed his pain the world caused.

Noel was never good at words when it came to love, so he could never tell Julian just who he was to Noel besides his lover or his friend.

If only Julian knew what he did to Noel or what he did for Noel.

What Julian did was break Noel of his addiction to drugs, he broke it like a twig when Julian helped him.

Noel found out things better than taking drug, like his painting, his acting, his comedy, and his Julian.

Julian’s love during that time was endless and he never judge Noel like everyone else did which caused Noel to drink more or smoke more whichever one came first to him.

When Noel felt an urge to drink or smoke, Julian would rush over and stay with him the whole night; holding him, and coaxing him into a blissful sleep which helped him a lot.

Julian got him high for life, and for love.

Eventually, Noel wanted the drugs and became restless. Julian was still there, and supported him. Julian was there through the withdrawal stage, it was bad but he was still there and believed in Noel that he would give it up.

Noel got better after a while, and found a new addiction… Julian. He cured him through it all, and became his daily medication. Without him, he would fall into the darkness of wanting drugs.

Julian killed the drugs; he dumped the alcohol and took the nicotine out the cigarettes and burning the rest which eased Noel knowing his demons were dying never to tempt him again.

After a while, Noel became angry when Julian couldn’t be around as much as he wanted due to work. Noel became frustrated, and found a lone cigarette. He sat in his closet, and was about to light when Julian found him.

Julian took the cigarette from his lips calmly, and killed it. Noel became scared of Julian being angry with him now; Julian wasn’t and held him petting his thick black hair cooing him. Noel became calm like a sleeping animal in a cage.

Now, back to present time, Noel was trying to think on how he can tell Julian all that he is to Noel, and what he does to him.

Julian woke up the next morning to find his lover, Noel sleeping in. He smiled fondly, and then saw a piece of paper in Noel’s hand which was right over Julian’s heart.

Julian pick the stray paper up, and saw a message written in red crayon the same red crayon Noel always uses for writing. Julian smiled at the childishness of his lover, and petted his hair down as he read the message,

‘You’re The Strength Of My Life, Julian. Love Forever, Noel.’ 🙂
